The parent trap reunion: the cast of a favorite movie was going to Instagram and shared his memories of the late Natasha Richardson.
If you’re a fan of the popular film of the 90s the parent Trap (and – let’s face it – who isn’t?), you’ll be pleased to know that the actors reunited after 22 years.
Lindsay Lohan, Dennis Quaid, Elaine Hendrix, Nancy Myers, Lisa Ann Walter, Simon Kunz, and producer Charles shyer’s all going to Instagram to discuss the film, as well as paying tribute to their colleague Natasha Richardson, who died tragically in 2009.
The meeting was chaired by Katie couric, who announced the news on his page on Instagram.
She wrote: “after talking with [Nancy Meyers] during the IG live, we decided that we should try and see if we could remove becomes “the parent Trap” gang is back together again for the first time since 1998.
“Guess we really did it!!!”
Lindsay Lohan, who played long-lost Twins Annie and Hallie, described the reunion as ‘cool’, and Dennis Quaid, her dad said he was ‘something’.
Dennis also added that the 11-year-old Lindsay was one of the most talented people he worked with, adding that her English accent (she plays Annie) was “perfect”.
Lindsay also talks about her on-screen mom Natasha Richardson, tragically died in a skiing accident in 2009.
She said: “Natasha was such elegance and grace, and she is so maternal to me.”
And Dennis described it as “just someone so giving and so glad to be there and gave that joy. It made everything that much better.”
Elaine Hendrix, who played the evil stepmother Meredith Blake, also spoke about how iconic the character became after the film was released.
She said, “there’s a whole generation who thinks that Meredith is purposes the hashtag!”
