CTD officials said RAW provided funding and training to carry out targeted killings in Karachi

KARACHI (Dunya News) – India’s intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) has been involved in recent terror activities in the country’s economic center, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officials revealed on Friday.

Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officials said that RAW used facilitators after training abroad, adding that banned, nationalist and MQM-London organizations had joined hands for terrorist activities in Karachi.

The officials went on to say that the nationalist organization attacked the Ehsaas Program with the support of MQM London.

The officials went on to say that elements of India’s intelligence services provided assistance in various ways to create terrorists, adding that the noose had been tightened against those sending people abroad for training over the past eight years.

According to officials, the notorious RAW provided funding to MQM-Londoners, the Lyari gang wars and other militant organizations and its funding goal was to carry out religious and political targeted killings in Karachi.

The CTD searches for JIT to investigate the MQM-London target killer | Instant News

KARACHI – The Operations Wing of the Karachi Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday recommended the formation of a joint investigation team (JIT) to interrogate the three terrorists of the Muttahida Quomi Movement-London (MQM-L).

The CTD operations department has written a letter to DIG preparing for JIT.

In a recent operation, CTD has captured three targets for MQM-London assassins named Faheem, Moinuddin and Kashif who were involved in dozens of targeted killings.

Earlier, the DIG Counter-Terrorism Department Omar Shahid Hamid said that CTD Karachi had arrested five suspected killers of the MQM-London target in raids carried out in various areas of the city.

CTD DIG said the target killer arrested was also involved in several other serious crimes including the murder of police officers. The alleged target killers were close aides to Ajmal Pahari and Kashif David and also received training from the Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

Terrorist accused killed policeman Muhammad Ali in 1997 in Orangi, shot dead Sunni leader Tehreek Amjad Pervaiz in 2005 and in 1997 killed Faisal Aka Paratha in Orangi City. The FIR has registered against the suspects arrested at the Jamshed police station, Pak Colony and Momin Abad.

The CTD claims to have arrested four TTP terrorists, BLA from Karachi | Instant News

KARACHI: The security services and police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested four suspected terrorists from banned organizations during the joint raid in Karachi, ARY NEWS reported.

The Sindh police’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) said that three of the terror suspects were members of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), while the others were from the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).

“They traveled from Afghanistan to Balochistan and then arrived in Karachi,” police said adding that the three TTP terrorists were staying at a hotel in Banaras while a fourth accomplice joined them after bringing explosives for them.

The CTD said they had recovered 60 kilograms of explosives, 16 detonators and an explosive cable from their possession during the raids. “We also found weapons on the indication the suspect was arrested,” they said.

The terrorists are trained in Afghanistan and assigned to carry out terror acts in Karachi, the LEA said adding that they also have IDs and passwords from social media platforms to receive their possible targets from their handlers.

CTD officials claimed that BLA and TTP planned to jointly carry out a terror attack, which was thwarted due to the timely actions of the LEA. The accused used to monitor activity on media and social media and was also involved in previous attacks in the country.

Law enforcement authorities have carried out raids recently to destroy terror cells in the city.

In November 22nd, LEA thwarted terrorism plans and arrested three terrorists of the prohibited group Tehrik-e-Taliban.

According to a Rangers paramilitary spokesman, in a joint intelligence-based operation, the Sindh Rangers and Police carried out raids on Gulshan-e-Maymar in Karachi and arrested three terrorists affiliated with the outlawed group Tehrik-e-Taliban.

“The defendants have been identified as Yaseen, Ikramullah alias Faisal and Mohammad Khalid alias Umar,” said a Rangers spokesman.

“Two of the three men who were arrested recently returned from Afghanistan,” according to the spokesman. They are planning a terrorist attack in Karachi, Rangers stated.

The prime suspect was arrested in the murder case of Mufti Abdullah: CTD | Instant News

The prime suspect in the murder case of Karachi cleric Mufti Abdullah was arrested by police in raids on Sunday.

The suspect has been identified as Haris alias Farhan. He has confessed to the crime, CTD personnel said during a press conference late Sunday.

Mufti Abdullah first attacked on November 1 shortly after leading the prayer.

According to police, they have found evidence that the attack was funded by the Indian intelligence agency RAW. “The attackers were paid through hawala-hundi,” said a police officer.

Karachi CTD chief Umar Shahid said the attackers were paid Rs300,000. The gang behind the attack operates from Dubai. It was run by a man named Zahid Umar.

“Umar went to Dubai via Iran,” the official said, adding that he was reportedly supplying weapons to people pretending to be deliverymen.

On November 11, another suspect, who was arrested from the crime scene, retracted his previous statement. He initially said he shot scholars for money.

In hers new statement, he said he rescheduled the cleric for five days before shooting him, adding that he was paid through a foreign account for the murder.

IG Sindh has noticed the killings and ordered an investigation.

Weapons found from terrorists.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and the intelligence agency conducted an operation in the SITE Karachi area and arrested two terrorists.

The CTD in charge, Mazhar Mashwani said that the weapons were recovered from the terrorists involved in the killing of the target after the reconnaissance. Two terrorists managed to escape during the operation.

Further investigations of the suspects are ongoing.
