Haleem Adil asked the Director General of Rangers to supervise police activities.
KARACHI (Berita Dunya) – Pakistan MP Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Opposition Leader in the Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh on Tuesday alleged that criminals had been summoned at PS-88 at the direction of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
While talking with the media in Karachi, the PTI leader predicted that several problems would occur during the voting in the PS-88 Pilkada with the help of police personnel. He further asked the Director General at Rangers to supervise the activities of police officers.
The reaction comes after voting for by-election in the two Sindh Assembly constituencies, PS-88-Karachi and PS-43-Sanghar and in the Balochistan Assembly constituency PB-20-Pishin began today.
Sources say that 20 candidates are competing in the PS-88-Karachi by-election. At least 108 polling stations have been established in the constituencies of which 36 have been declared sensitive and 33 have been declared the most sensitive.
At PS-43-Sanghar, the main match will bring together PPP and PTI candidates. PML-F chairman Pir Pagara has extended his party’s support for PTI in the by-election.
A stiff contest is expected between candidates for the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and the combined candidate for the Democratic Movement of Pakistan (PDM) in the polls in PB-20-Pishin.
