‘The opposition has risked national interests’ | Instant News

LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar Sunday said that the opposition is staking national interests by engaging themselves in an agenda that does not make sense to weaken the country.

In a statement issued here, the chief minister said that the opposition should recognize that the public has rejected their treacherous stance, adding that the opposition, from day one, had questioned their reputation by engaging in negative politics.

He said, corrupt people were helpless in front of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said those who shout hollow slogans today have emptied national finances in the past and such elements can no longer deceive the nation because their incompetence and corrupt faces have been exposed to the public. CM says that Pakistan is going through a critical phase; Therefore, the preference of the opposition party should be in the national interest, not negative politics. However, CM regrets, they still prioritize their personal interests.

He said these parties had no agenda of Pakistan’s progress and prosperity, adding that the rejected elements were not even loyal to one another.

He said this was not the time for negative politics but to promote a consensus of unity and harmony, adding that opposition parties urgently needed to reconsider their behavior. He said the alliance of the opposition parties was made only to protect personal interests and protect the looted money.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan corrected the shortcomings of the previous regime and put the country on the path to progress. He said these elements were confused to see the country moving in the right direction, adding that the people knew the same party destroyed the national economy when they came to power; Therefore, these elements seek to create obstacles in Pakistan’s development and progress.

He said that Pakistan faced both internal and external challenges. CM said that Prime Minister Imran Khan made wise and courageous decisions in the national interest. The era of looting and looting will never come again and under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan Pakistan will find its purpose.
