Karachi: Two men were arrested for rape, killing a 10 year old boy | Instant News


Two men were arrested on charges of raping and murdering a 10-year-old boy at the Moosa Colony Karachi, police said on Tuesday.

On December 9, The boy’s body was found in a dumpster near Federal B area.. A cloth was tied around his neck.

According to his family, the boy went to play with his friends on December 9 but never returned home. After searching the area, his father registered a missing persons complaint at Gulberg police station.

“We went to the police at 5 pm but they didn’t want to file a complaint,” said the victim’s uncle. “They finally registered the FIR at 2 am.”

On Monday, two suspects were arrested in a police raid. They confessed to raping the boy and then choking him to death. “DNA samples of the suspects have been taken,” said a police officer.

An offer to smuggle in Iranian diesel was thwarted by Karachi police | Instant News


KARACHI: An offer to smuggle 31,000 liters of Iranian diesel fuel was thwarted by Karachi police officers by seizing a tanker near Northern By-pass, ARY News reported on Monday.

The East Superintendent Police (SSP) told the media that a tanker was stopped on Northern By-pass due to information. The illegal shipment was seized in a truck containing 31,000 liters of Iranian diesel that was smuggled into Karachi.

The tanker driver was arrested and then handed over to Customs officers.

Earlier in November, the Pakistan Coast Guard was arrested drugs and contraband diesel in raids in Balochistan and arrested three suspects.

The Pakistani Coast Guard at Khari checkpoint near Windar in Balochistan has recovered seven kilograms of crystals from the two passengers and 8.5 kilos of marijuana from a passenger in two carriages arriving from Quetta.

In another attack in the Daam area near Windar, the Coast Guard found 51,000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel while patrolling the area, a PCG spokesman said.

The seized drug shipment is estimated to be worth Rs 270 million on the international market, said a PCG spokesman.

The coast guard has taken drugs and smuggled diesel in his custody, according to the spokesman.

The Anti-Violent Crimes Cell has found a three-month-old baby who was kidnapped one month ago from Bahadurabad in Karachi.

In raids on Sunday, cells rescued the child from a house on street number five Korangi and arrested the woman who kidnapped him.

According to police, the baby’s mother and aunt have taken him to the hospital for a checkup. “The suspect took the baby from them on the grounds and then ran away,” said a police officer.

The parents of a three-month-old child filed a missing person complaint with the Kota Baru police station after a case investigation began. The baby has been returned safely to his family.

“The suspect admitted that he kidnapped the child because he did not have children of his own,” the officer added.

Animals are transferred to ACF

Police rescued four monkeys illegally kept at the Queen’s Market in Saddar Karachi.

The deputy commissioner of South Karachi and his team raided the market on Friday and found the animals locked up in one of the shops. The monkeys were rescued and initially sent to the Sindh Wildlife Department asylum.

They were later transferred to the Ayesha Chundrigar Foundation, a private organization that saves animals.

Assistant Commissioner Saddar Sherina Asad said that Sindh Animal Law prohibits keeping monkeys in cages and only permit holders can keep them in private zoos.

The shop owner was not fined or arrested. On the other hand, vendors at Empress Market vow that they won’t keep mammals in cages.

Home worker arrested for murdering employer in Karachi | Instant News


A domestic worker and her husband were arrested for murdering their employer in Gulberg City, Karachi, police said on Saturday.

The crime took place at a house in Sector 5 in Federal Area B. The owner, Noor Jehan, 85, employed Arifa as a domestic helper.

“On Friday morning, when Noor Jehan woke up, he heard a noise in his house,” said a police officer. “He got up to check and catch the servant who stole valuables.”

When the woman tried to call for help, Arfa choked her to death.

“Arfa worked in the house for four years and was a resident of the Moosa Colony,” the victim’s grandson told police, adding that the 85-year-old man was alone at home that day.

During the crime, the suspect’s husband was waiting for him outside the house, police added.

The perpetrator has been arrested and is being investigated. Further investigations are underway.
