Pak government acceptance of the 2017 census has ended MQM P’s options for cooperation, said the chairman of the ANI-party | Instant News

Islamabad [Pakistan], December 25 (ANI): The Muttahida Quami-Pakistan Movement (MQM-P), which is allied with the ruling PTI, has filed objections to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government which accepted the controversial 2017 census despite objections, with the party. leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said this decision ended their “choice of cooperating with the government”.
The MQM-P leader said his party had formed a coalition with the Khan-led government “based on the census”, but “despite MQM objections to the census results, the federal government went ahead and approved it.”
“Why are we even part of the government? Do people have to claim all their rights by taking to the streets,” he questioned.
Based on Geo NewsSiddiqui said on Thursday that in the 2017 census, the population of Sindh’s large cities proved to be 25 percent less than the real number.
Our doubts regarding the inaccuracy of the 2017 census are proven right now … We have gone to court to report our concerns before the census even started, he said.
“If they can’t count us properly, how will they give us our rights,” he asked.
“It seems we have no other choice but to take to the streets. In Karachi, people younger than 18 don’t even count,” he added.
Siddiqui’s comments come after the federal cabinet on Wednesday endorsed the submission of the Sixth Census of Population and Housing, 2017, report for final approval from the Council of the Common Interest, Geo News reported.
Geo News citing further he said that the option to cooperate with the government had ended after the approval of the controversial census. “The census is a matter of life and death for people in downtown Sindh,” he said. (ANI)

The head of the Muttahida Qaumi-Pakistan Movement Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Thursday criticized the Sindh government and police for harassing traders and businessmen in Karachi.

“There is a Sindhudesh government here,” MQM-P organizers said at a press conference in Karachi. He was flanked by traders and businessmen.

“From the police to the Sindh Secretariat, look at the establishment here, the bureaucracy here,” he added.

Siddiqui warned police “arriving from outside Karachi” against visiting local merchants. “The Karachi government has been tasked with harassing the town’s merchants and asking how much they will bring to the People’s Party funds in return.”

He said demanding anything from the Sindh government was tantamount to painting one’s face black.

“Their job is to destroy the economy and social fabric of this city,” said MQM-P organizers. “And I congratulate them on destroying it to some extent,” he said scornfully.

Seventy percent of non-natives make it to local agencies and local government, complained Siddiqui, calling on the Sindh government to “bring them all back to Sindhudesh”.

“This is Pakistan and here no coercion from the Sindhudesh government will be tolerated,” he said.

Mustafa Kamal made accusations against Khalid Maqbool of cooperating with RAW – Pakistan | Instant News

Published in November 16, 2020 12:46

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui was given a diplomatic passport by RAW, said Mustafa Kamal.

KARACHI (Berita Dunya) – Chairman of the Pak Sarzameen (PSP) Party Syed Mustafa Kamal on Monday made accusations against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui in collaboration with India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

Mustafa Kamal held a press conference in Karachi and alleged that Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui went to India in 2000 at the direction of the founder of MQM, held meetings with RAW officials and spoke out against Pakistan. He tore up his Pakistani passport and traveled to America on a diplomatic passport given by RAW, the PSP chief said.

Syed Mustafa Kamal said Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui was arrested by US officials and released on bail. He returned to Pakistan after thirteen years and became the head of MQM-P, said Mustafa Kamal, adding that the MQM-P was created out of necessity.

He further added that the party name, symbol and flag were all chosen by the founder of MQM and it was he, not Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Amir Khan, who came to mind when the name MQM was used. I informed about the MQM and RAW connections four and a half years ago, stressed the PSP chairman.
