KARACHI: Mustafa Kamal said it was Pak Sarzameen’s party [PSP] will go to great lengths to get a complete and correct count of the Karachi residents.
The former mayor said there would be no compromise on the census count. “If Prime Minister Imran Khan can’t do an accurate census, why would he authenticate the controversial census results – a move that will deepen the sense of deprivation among the Karachi people.”
Speaking to the media outside the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court following his trial, Kamal claimed that the unfair act of approving this census would result in more terrorists.
He said that from now on there should be no ethnic riots because PSP has unified the hearts of people from different ethnic backgrounds by spreading messages of love, brotherhood and coexistence.
Criticizing the prime minister for agreeing to the controversial 2017 census, Kamal said that the PM is the ruler of a U-turn, so why doesn’t he take any reverse action on census issues. “If the PM doesn’t take his turn to agree to the controversial census, PSP and the Karachi community will not be held responsible for any unwanted situations.”
He pointed out that according to National Database & Registration Authority records, more than 24 million identity cards had been issued at Karachi addresses, while the head of the court said the city’s population was around 30 million.
He said Pakistan’s biggest problem was the miscensus in Karachi, which was a conspiracy to destroy the country, and those who have remained silent about the issue are actually supporters of tyranny and mistrust.
“The incumbent government doesn’t even have the capacity to conduct a transparent and correct census, so how can we expect to provide them with necessities such as water, electricity, gas and jobs?”
Kamal said that a peaceful demonstration was held on January 17 at the summons of Pak Sarzameen’s Party, but the desire and poisoning of power is such that people addicted to power cannot hear the voices of those who are deprived.
He said that these voices would only be heard after their authority was revoked. He also said that there are areas in the Central District where the voters themselves outnumber the overall population shown in the controversial census. “For 13 years, not a single bus has been provided to the city.
Entire cities have been turned into landfills, hospitals have been destroyed, industries have closed, and we have remained silent, but if we remain silent about the census problem, history will never forgive us. “
The PSP chairman claimed that corruptors and terrorists were allowed to roam freely because of the PM’s support, but people like him (Kamal) have received notification from the NAB.
He also claims that the NAB has not yet sent a notification to former mayor Wasim Akhtar despite rampant corruption as the Muttahida Qaumi Movement is part of a coalition government led by Tehreek-e-Insaf Pakistan. He said that the federal government had been trying to save his corrupt and terrorist allies for his survival.
“It’s a tyrannical system that can’t work anymore. The Governor’s building has become the PTI political office, which is used to destroy its political opponents. “
