L&L Hawaiian Barbecue is open

L&L Hawaiian Barbecue has opened at Mary Avenue Market, 300 S. Sixth St. in the city center, to offer comfort food in an atmosphere with many reminders of the network base in Hawaii.

The owners of the Waco location, 207th in the chain, are Raymond Garrison and Fred Ballard, both retired US Army soldiers who started pitching the idea of ​​opening a restaurant while soldiers “served in the Iraqi desert,” according to a press release at the opening.

Ballard grew up near Waco, Garrison in Panama City, Florida.

“The marker on the floor will remind customers to keep the surfboard length (6 feet) from other customers,” according to a press release.

Real estate companies merged

Two locally owned and independent real estate companies have joined forces. Eric Williams’ Legacy Land and Ranches, which specializes in farm and ranch properties, has found a place under the Kelly Realtors umbrella.

The ‘Food Here’ application is launched by Tomball resident partners with new restaurants for delivery services | Instant News

HOUSTON – A locally owned and operated food delivery business partnered with a nearby restaurant to serve residents of Tomball, Magnolia and Brenham.

“Food’s Here” is an application launched by Mitchell Bethea, a resident of Tomball, in 2017.

In just two years, Bethea has partnered with more than 70 restaurants.

Since Governor Greg Abbott announced an executive order that will temporarily close restaurant dining rooms throughout the state, many restaurant owners have been promoting delivery services to keep them open.

“I might have signed at least 10 restaurants (last week) because people went up for delivery,” Bethea told Community Impact.

To anticipate restaurants that use restrictions and deliveries, Bethea had hired more drivers in March, before dinner restrictions.

According to a post on the business Facebook, new restaurant partners including Victoria Pie Co. at Magnolia and Market Street Cafe in Tomball.

“Food’s Here” delivers within 12 miles of any partner restaurant.

Customers can place an order in the “Food’s Here” application website.
