KARACHI: The father of a victim of kidnapping and gang rape in Gulshan-e-Hadeed area, Malir District said on Wednesday he was dissatisfied with the way police investigating officers (IO) were carrying out investigations into the matter, ARY New reported.

The families of the victims of rape and kidnapping expressed their lack of confidence in the way the investigations were carried out.
In an earlier development on the case, Karachi police have arrested another top suspect wanted in the gang rape of a 16 year old student in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Karachi.
Police said Sameer was arrested during a raid near the Gulshan-e-Hadeed area. The suspect who was arrested turned out to be the victim’s neighbor.
The three suspects, Samiullah, Adil and Fawad have been detained by the police.
Investigators said they were investigating the case with the help of DNA profiles and cell phone data of the suspects. The police further said that the sister of the suspect and victim of rape had studied at the same training center.
On Saturday, a court judge was returned that the three suspects are in police custody for questioning until February 22 and request progress reports from investigating officers.
An FIR was registered on the complaint of a public school teacher. She said her 16-year-old daughter, a first-year student at a public college in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, had left home on February 9 to attend college but she did not return home.
