Islamabad [Pakistan], January 18 (ANI): Criticizing Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said opponents of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had fallen into the same “trap” they had set for him.
“The opponent wants to trap [former prime minister] Nawaz Sharif [in litigation], but they now face the Spreadsheet case against themselves. These elements are so corrupt that they even seek money from companies, “said Maryam after meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz at the Lahore Accountability Court on Sunday.
The Express Tribune further quoted the Vice President of PML-N as saying that all these cases will be eliminated one day and his party will emerge victorious.
“This is not accountability, this is revenge,” he said, adding, “We will also win by-elections.”
Stating that Lahore had been turned “into a heap of rubbish”, he insisted that the government-led actions of Imran Khan on the bill represented “fraudulent play”, The Express Tribune reported.
This comes days after Broadsheet LLC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kaveh Moussavi said he “voluntarily” identified suspicious UK bank accounts that held accounts for $ 1 billion. He also said that Imran Khan’s government did not pay attention to this matter when he conveyed it to them. (ANI)
