Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has warned his disgruntled ally that internal divisions within the opposition party alliance – Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) – will benefit the ruling PTI.
“I would advise the PDM to take decisions with due diligence and patience … divisions and rules are the strategies of non-democratic forces,” he said during a speech at a press conference in the Jacobabad district, Sindh, Friday.
Bilawal refrained from responding The PML-N allegations maintains a secret relationship with the PTI-led government, saying: “We have a good relationship with Maryam Sharif and I don’t want to spoil them”.
However, he reminded opposition parties that their internal struggle would be of no use other than to strengthen the regime in power.
“It will support PDM and democracy if we do [opposition parties] continues to provide a difficult time for the government in parliament, “he stressed.

Descendants of the Bhutto dynasty also wanted a speedy recovery to PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and JUI-F chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman, saying he wanted them to continue their political activities as quickly as possible so that the movement to overthrow the PTI government gained momentum.
About the latest changes in federal cabinetBilawal said that although the three finance ministers have changed over the years, the PTI government’s economic policy remains the same. “PTI designed economic policies to provide assistance to the rich and make the poor suffer,” he stressed.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan had made his oil aide Nadeem Babar a scapegoat “for his own incompetence and corruption”.
The PPP chairman said the fuel crisis last year was a major corruption scandal for this government and that he would raise the issue altogether. “Imran Khan changed his cabinet members just to save face, but we will not spare them.”
‘Free and fair elections all over Pakistan, not just in Punjab’
Bilawal called on the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to play its role in ensuring free and fair elections across the country, and not only in Punjab.
“I believe it is our candidate from Jacobabad [Ijaz Jakhrani] will be announced as the winner the next day if the ECP blocks government efforts to rig the election as it was done in the Daska by-poll, “he said while speaking about the upcoming by-election by-election.
The PPP leader said the PTI-led government had rendered the poor helpless because of its flawed economic policies centered on the IMF.
Bilawal said the country was “sinking into a sea of inflation” before the government even launched an IMF loan program and regretted that even a war-torn country like the Afghan economy performed better than Pakistan.
‘NAB Black Law’
Responding to a question on Shaukat Tareen’s refusal to join the government’s economic team due to the case of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Bilawal said that his party had been advocating from day one that NAB and the economy could not function together.
He said the “black law of the NAB” was introduced by former military ruler general (retired) Pervaiz Musharraf for political engineering.
The PPP chairman also accused the anti-corruption watchdog of pressuring his party to change political loyalties.
