Land encroachment has become a major problem in Karachi. Many citizens have been robbed of their life savings by the mafia who illegally occupy public and private property in the city.

But here is a simple procedure that people can use to contact the Karachi Development Authority for restoration of their land.

Estate & Enforcement Cell KDA handles encroachment on KDA’s land. Communities can register their complaints with the KDA E&E office by following these simple steps:

  • They must visit the KDA E&E director’s office on the 3rd floor of the Civic Center building along with all documents. KDA is only responsible for acquiring plots before the recipient gets ownership. Once handed over, the responsibility rests with the recipients
  • Attach a written complaint along with a document detailing the plot location and allocations
  • The Director of KDA E&E will verify documents from the KDA Land Department and issue an order to eliminate encroachment. The process takes 15 to 20 days
  • After the issuance of the order to eliminate encroachment, the KDA team set a date for anti-encroachment efforts
  • The KDA team notified the regional police before reaching the location to clear encroachment

For property transfers and transfers, the public can visit the KDA Land Department. It is also located on the 3rd floor of the Civic Center building.

KDA recently appointed Khalid Zafar Hashmi as director of its Land Management. As a Class-19 officer, Hashmi served at the KDA Estate & Enforcement Cell. He replaces Atta Abbas who was recently sentenced to seven years in prison in the Lines Area Resettlement Project plot fraud case.

Arshad Abbas, another Class-19 officer, has been assigned as director of KDA E&E. Abbas replaces Zahoor Marri, who had served as a representative.

Germany cites the anti-Hitler plot as a role model for the military today | Instant News

Faced with growing concern over right-wing extremism in the German military, the country’s defense minister marked the anniversary of an unsuccessful plan to kill Adolf Hitler by urging troops today to take their inspiration from those who tried to kill Nazi dictators.

Speaking at a ceremony in Berlin by swearing in new recruits on the 76th anniversary of July 20, 1944, the plot, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer said right-wing soldiers who admired the Nazi-era Wehrmacht military had no place in the military today.

“A simple Wehrmacht soldier might fight bravely, but if his courage serves the ideology of conquest, occupation and annihilation, that is in vain,” he said, the news agency reported. “I am very familiar with the tragedy of individuals that lies in this truth.”

Earlier this month, Kramp-Karrenbauer broke up a special forces company, saying a culture of right-wing extremism had been permitted to develop through “toxic leadership.” The move came at a time of wider concern that Germany had not done enough to overcome right-wing extremism in the Bundeswehr military in general.

Germany on Monday paid tribute to the leader of the July 20 plot Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg and others who were arrested and executed in an unsuccessful attempt to kill Hitler.

“The only role models the Bundeswehr can take from now are those who are trying to turn things around, like the resistance fighters on July 20,” he told recruits.

Von Stauffenberg tried to kill Hitler with a bag bomb during a meeting at his headquarters in East Prussia. Hitler escaped the full force of the explosion when someone moved the suitcase next to the foot of the table, deflecting most of the force of the explosion. The plot was destroyed when news spread that Hitler survived. Von Stauffenberg and his accomplices were executed within a few hours.

In a separate ceremony at a memorial which was set up in the former Ploetzensee prison, where the Nazis executed thousands of people, mainly opposition members, Kramp-Karrenbauer said the legacy of the July 20 plot had “enabled us to return to the community of other countries” and is now woven into policy foreign and German security.

“We will never forget, we will always have the courage to live a democracy, we will protect the law,” he said. “We will give strength to peace, freedom and humanity, as well as internationally. Today, here and now, we renew and reaffirm this promise to commemorate men and women on July 20.”
