May the best beaches win!

Matarangi Beach, Coromandel

This is one of the few beaches that are truly north facing in New Zealand with fine white sand, beautiful clear water. There is a wide variety of sea conditions for all – young shallow swimmers, ocean swimmers, boogie boarders, surfers, kite surfers, paddle surfers. The beach is never overcrowded and apart from that you can often see dolphins passing by.
Sally Waters

Kaiteriteri Beach, Nelson Tasman

I think Kaiteriteri beach is one of the best in New Zealand, known for its unique golden sand and crystal clear waters. An ideal and popular summer spot, it has everything you need for an action-packed day, from sailing, kayaking, bicycle tours and more. Even better, Kaiteriteri has more beautiful and unique beaches that are all located next to each other.
Yulan Black

Aramoana, Dunedin

Pumps up the surf, there’s awesome wildlife (sea lions and penguins) and some really cool cliffs and rocks.
Felix Page

Bark Bay, Abel Tasman National Park

It’s secluded (you have to get there by hiking or by boat), has a sloping white sand beach, with clear, sheltered sea water and deep enough to swim. It’s also supported by a national park, so it’s 99 percent natural.

Mangawhai Surf Beach, Northland

Mangawhai is truly magical because the sunsets are amazing, you can surf, you can walk on the cliffs to see amazing bird’s eye views from places that cannot be caught on camera, there is local dune protection. Everyone must experience the Mangawhai miracle.

Cable Bay in Doubtless Bay, Northland

There’s an ice cream shop there, golden sand, blue water, happy people – the perfect place.

Ruakaka, Northland

Soft white sand and clear clear water that stretches for miles make this beach our favorite. Ice cream in “the chilly bin” after a day in the sun is a bonus.

Campbells Bay, Kakanui, Waitaki

It’s great for families, surfers, and dog-friendly. This can keep you busy or treat you as your only friend. Take a walk to All Day Bay and back, or try a small kite. I like it.

This beach has soft sand, warm water, and small waves perfect for swimming and body boarding. Ample parking makes it easy to prepare for a long day at the beach.

Kano Beach, on Mapoutahi in Otago

Canoe Beach has it all – beautiful for a walk with your dog, caves to walk through at low tide, rope swings, history, pā to hike and watch surfers, lovely long beaches to walk along the other side of the headland. Kano Beach is also great for swimming as it’s sheltered – you can kayak around to Osborne bay, and now there’s even a local brewery in Waitati. Nothing is missing.
Amanda Church

Wainui Beach, Gisborne

Wainui not only greets the sun before anywhere else on mainland New Zealand, it also has a fun and nurturing community, incredible waves and beautiful clear water. There is a rock pool at each end with interesting creatures. The Okitu shop, about half way down, has excellent summer food and the most friendly staff.
J Dobson

Castlepoint, Wairarapa

Castlepoint is a superb coastal formation with a variety of coastal experiences. Wild surfing and calm and safe lagoons. Stunning rock forms, lighthouses and sand dunes. Great fishing, swimming, surfing and kayaking. Stunning views and walking opportunities. Sitting under the lighthouse after dark is also a real experience. This is an authentic Kiwi beach and bach environment, with an annual horse race on the beach.

Wharariki only cut Mataī Bay and Castlepoint Northland for me. The three of them were very beautiful. But Wharariki won because it had exposed rocks like Cathedral Cove, providing a unique sight to behold. Has a rock pool for baby seals to swim and play. The distance is far away, which adds to its charm. There is plenty of room for multiple people to enjoy at once. Good surf. You need to take a short walk to access it, which might be considered negative, but people who tend to make an effort to reach it are less likely to litter and wreck the place. There are lots of walks, which can also expose you to a variety of wildlife.

Cathedral Cove is a slice of heaven. There are stunning walks to the beach, pristine clear water, waves and waterfalls. It doesn’t get much better than this.

No word on the findings of the three high profile commissions | Instant News

ISLAMABAD: Nothing has been officially disclosed about the fate of the three commissions set up with excitement to investigate serious indictments or resolve major national issues. At least two forums were given a specific period of time to complete their assignment, and the deadline has long since passed.

In July this year, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government established a three-member investigation commission to investigate allegations against Ajmal Wazir following his dismissal as information adviser to Chief Minister Mahmood Khan. The commission is asked to submit its report within 30 days. At the direction of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Mahmood Khan has dismissed advisors and formed a commission.

Ajmal Wazir is accused of taking commissions and deductions from an advertising agency. By that time, damning audio recordings had emerged prompting action against him. Ajmal Wazir and others, believed to be the owners of the advertising agency, were heard discussing a project, its costs and taxes over the alleged amount of bribes. The adviser expressed displeasure at having to pay general sales tax on his share of the alleged commission.

Ajmal Wazir and others later claimed that the conversation had been edited and put together to give the false impression that they were negotiating a deal.

The KP government has established such a body under the Investigative Court Ordinance, 1969. They are required to determine the authenticity or otherwise of the audio clip through forensic analysis and / or other indirect evidence if any; inspect the procurement under discussion in the audio clip and conduct a thorough review of the awarding process and subsequent procurement execution to determine errors and irregularities, if any, and the person responsible, if any. So far there has been no news regarding the commission’s findings.

In June 2019, a Commission of Inquiry was formed by Prime Minister Imran Khan to investigate the use of loans taken from 2008 to 2018 by the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) during their respective terms. Hussain Asghar, who was deputy chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), was appointed head and asked to complete his report within six months.

It is mandated to correct responsibility for illegality or irregularity and refer it to the relevant agency or department for prosecution of those responsible. The Commission is directed to investigate and investigate the award or performance of a contract or agreement or project and whether any debt was taken for a particular project or undertaking and the allocated money was then spent and spent on it or not.

It is tasked with examining whether the terms and conditions of any public contract are tainted or benevolent or artificially inflated to facilitate bribery, and if so, for whose benefit.

It is geared towards seeing if any public office holders or their spouses, children and anyone connected with them are spending any public funds to meet personal or private expenses beyond what has been permitted under laws and regulations.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, who formed the commission, wanted to know why Pakistan’s total debt and liabilities, which were less than Rs7,000 billion in 2017, had risen to Rs30,000 billion in 2018 when PML-N came to power. He alleges that this enormous debt was added by the PPP and PML-N governments recently to increase the wealth of their top leaders.

In May this year, it was reported that the commission had submitted its report to the prime minister. However, if true, the findings are yet to be published. One report also claims that the forum has found no cases of borrowed funds going into the pockets of any key politician or bureaucrat. All of the receipts showed that the funds went to government accounts. The report stated that the agency had found no cases of fraud and corruption.

During the tenure of the previous two administrations, leading economist Dr Waqar Masood Khan, who in October this year was made special assistant by Prime Minister Imran Khan on revenue, has worked in a top position handling negotiations for this loan.

A third body, the National Financial Commission (NFC), was created in May this year. President Arif Alvi notified the formation of 11 members of the National Finance Commission (NFC) to announce a new award for the sharing of federal resources that can be shared between the Center and the provinces. However, the move caused controversy at the start due to authorization from Financial Advisor Hafeez Shaikh to chair the NFC meeting. The Sindh government registered its protest by writing letters to the prime minister on this and other matters.

Disputes also erupted over the selection of Javed Jabbar as a non-legal member to represent Balochistan on NFC. The problem was also brought to court. As a result, Javed Jabbar withdrew his candidacy. In July, Balochistan appointed leading economist Kaiser Bengali as its non-official member. Since then, nothing has been heard about NFC; nothing organized and no requests for Commission meetings.

‘Asian Bohemian Chic’: Ghea Panggabean celebrates 40 years of fashion – Book | Instant News

For someone who has stood the test of time the fashion industry is certainly a testament to their clever business acumen and iconic design – especially in Indonesia, where influence can come from every angle.

Just ask designer Ghea Panggabean, who has just celebrated 40 years of Indonesia’s fashion scene with the launch of a book that records her journey so far.

The 320-page book, which sells for just over Rp. 1.5 million (US $ 108.64), is a two-year project in progress, published by New York-based publisher Rizzoli.

Title Asian Bohemian Chic – Indonesian Heritage Becomes Fashion, the book covers all of Ghea’s collections over the past four decades, from her first lurik creations to the jumputan batik she is famous for.

The title of the book refers to Ghea’s signature style: a breezy, airy silhouette reminiscent of the psychedelic hippies of the 1970s.

Born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on March 1, 1955 to a multicultural family, Ghea spent his childhood in Europe for primary and secondary school, before moving back to Indonesia for secondary school.

For higher education, he entered Trisakti University, majoring in fine arts.

However, her studies there lasted only one year, after which she returned to Europe to study at Lucie Clayton College from 1976 to 1978, focusing on fashion design and tailoring. After graduating, Ghea was hired as a teacher at London’s Chelsea Fashion Academy in 1979.

During this era, punk fashion was popular in London, championed by designer Vivienne Westwood and her boyfriend, boutique owner, band manager and musician Malcolm McLaren.

Even so, leather boots and torn t-shirts aren’t something you see in Ghea’s collection, as she stays true to her signature bohemian vibe.

Complicated: One of Ghea's hobbies is collecting antiques and textiles, which are also well documented as a major source of inspiration.Complicated: One of Ghea’s hobbies is collecting antiques and textiles, which are also well documented as a major source of inspiration. In a virtual press conference held on the date of the book launch, Ghea said that she has loved vintage tie dye and scarves from a young age, which explains her penchant for aesthetics.

However, his first design, a striated the set modeled by supermodel Janice Dickinson, is actually a design choice influenced by her own pocket.

“That jumputan from Java [was used] because the price was affordable for me as a very young designer, ”he recalls.

Apart from Dickinson, Ghea has also socialized with many global stars, including Mick Jagger, Muhammad Ali and Diana, Princess of Wales.

These unforgettable moments can also be seen in the book, along with various other tidbits from his life story, such as his relationship with his twin daughters Amanda and Janna, his hobby of collecting antiques, and being one of the founders of the Indonesian Fashion Designer Council (IPMI). ).

“We wanted to have a place where we could come together and express our aspirations as designers and be recognized that it was a profession – we weren’t just tailors at home,” he said of the founding of the board in 1985, then known as the Association of Associate Fashion Designers. Indonesia.

When asked about her strong four-decade career, Ghea said that what really motivates her is just the passion for what she does.

“I really like Indonesian culture with all of its diversity. What keeps me excited about this is my first inspiration, namely Indonesian textiles. I started collecting them in my early years and I still haven’t stopped being inspired. When I saw them, my soul came alive and I began to think, ‘what can I do with this?’

“There is a lasting love affair with the beauty of Indonesian textiles, and I hope to inspire many young designers to do the same.”

From his book, he said that his wish was for the book to get a glimpse of Indonesia’s rich culture and a vibrant fashion scene.

“I want this book to be a window on the world of Indonesian fashion, where people from all over the world can see the beauty and richness of Indonesian art and culture through my work.” (You are)

It may not be as surprising as his incredible win at Monza earlier this year, but Pierre Gasly delivered another unexpected result in Italy on Saturday by making AlphaTauri qualifier fourth for the Emilia-Romagna GP.

Quick from the start on Saturday, Imola’s slower-than-usual opening day of Formula 1 comeback, Gasly provided the closest challenge to Valtteri Bottas, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen with a car that has more often been the seventh fastest on the grid this season.

“Looks like I’m fast in Italy!” said Gasly, one of the stars of the season and who wore the Ayrton Senna helmet this weekend at Imola. “Behind the two Mercedes and Max, we can’t do better than that.”

It is an extraordinary day for AlphaTauri in general, with both cars entering the top 10 for the first time in 2020.

But Gasly is once again their leader, and his form is also notable for equaling his best qualifying result – also finding second row with Red Bull last season – and because it happened at the end of a week in which his stay at AlphaTauri was confirmed. for 2021.

Gasly was not considered for the vacant Red Bull seat for 2021 despite his strong form, but beat Alex Albon, their current rider and the man who replaced him with the team last season, on Saturday.

Gasly will start Sunday’s race ahead of Renault drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Albon, while he admits he will keep an eye on Charles Leclerc’s pace from seventh with AlphaTauri chasing Ferrari in the championship.

Gasly admits being ‘surprised’ he didn’t run at Red Bull

In Friday’s press conference, Gasly expressed “surprise” that he was not “really considered” to return to Red Bull for the 2021 season.

“I am not disappointed, I would say. I was just shocked in 14 years [of the team] Seb (Vettel) won the race with Toro Rosso, the only other racer to win the race.

“Seb was promoted to Red Bull and won four titles with the team.
