SAN ANTONIO – “Share your blessings” – that’s the message from the San Antonio Ismaili community when they, together with the San Antonio Merchants Association, make a massive food trip to the San Antonio Food Bank on Saturday.
The trip takes place in San Antonio Ismaili Jamatkhana. Around 15 food pallets and hygiene products are collected for the food bank.
The group also donated 2,500 masks to the San Antonio Compassionate, a faith-based initiative in the city.
Mayor Ron Nirenberg is ready to help collect the important items.
“This is a great demonstration from the Ismaili community to really show what teamwork is. We see a series of cars coming in and everyone wants to be involved and everyone wants to help, “Nirenberg said.
This is the first time the Ismaili community is holding a food outreach event, but it is something they say will continue.
