ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar and SAPM for Youth Affairs Usman Dar visited PM Imran Khan on Thursday, ARY News reported.
During the meeting, PM Imran Khan gave approval to begin Corona Relief Tiger Force operations throughout the country.
The prime minister ordered to activate Tiger Troops starting Monday across the country and also decided to greet volunteers through social media platforms. Following the direction, Usman dar began preparations to begin the activities of the youth forces.
Volunteer services that join the Tiger Force will be used to provide financial assistance to unemployed workers in addition to running a national awareness campaign about the coronavirus pandemic.
Then, Usman Dar confirmed that the Corona Relief Tiger troops from the Prime Minister would begin operations in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa next week.
Talk in a Press conference, he said, Prime Minister Imran Khan will speak with volunteer troops on Monday after which he will start aid activities. He added that protective equipment and guidelines would be given to youth troops to protect them from contracting the corona virus.
Usman Dar said tiger troops would ensure that standard operating procedures (SOPs) were followed during congregational prayers at mosques as well as enforcing social distance regulations at utility shops to check on crowds.
He said volunteer forces would also assist various institutions in curbing the spread of the corona virus.
