Along with his names Basu Bhattacharya and Hrishikesh Mukherjee, he was responsible for making an alternative universe of cinema that was very different from Raj Kapoor’s drama and action films distributed by ‘angry young men, young men’ in the 70s. That Confession of Faith 3 the film project can proceed without Rocky Balboa and so can this La Quinta, California estate. Sylvester Stallone is lowering his home on the beautiful West Coast 52945 Humboldt Blvd. for a cool $ 3.35 million – a drop of an old spit bucket for Sly which is reportedly worth $ 400 million. Josh Reef on Douglas Elliman has a list.
It is impossible to comfort a person Rocky the spin-off franchise without the genius of Stallone’s boxing genius is like imagining Rocky living in this takeSpanish Colonial. But after 44 years, we finally have to admit that Stallone is far more cultured than his Italian Stallion changes ego. In fact, he has very beautiful tastes.
The core problem. Rocky originally lived in a modest Philadelphia row house where he drank raw egg juice (symbolically pre-StalloneRocky fighting in New York). We were never really sure when Rocky was upgraded to a big house as a heavyweight champion.
But Stallone, the visionary screenwriter and abusive actor who gave birth to our beloved Rocky, yes, we can see him pampering tapas, Paella, and Rioja wine in the comfort of this 4,889-square-foot Spanish La Quinta gem.
Impressive plastering facades (topped with burning terra-cotta orange tiles, narrow windows and polygonal towers) frame the California sky, towering above outdoor terraces, relaxing fountain pools, fountain spas, mosaic spas, fire pits, and azalea bush planters . Outer saddle roofs, columns, outside stairs and fire pits display subtle Moorish details.
A veranda, arched doors open, and a terrace on the second floor made of wrought iron provides easy access indoors and outdoors under the blue sky sun 269 days per year. This is not “City of Brotherly Love” Adrian.
A large entrance to the courtyard is adorned with towering palms and a central fountain. Another private green courtyard with exotic contemplative fountains located behind an ornate entrance gate. Located on a 0.45-hectare near countless golf courses, the residence returns to the babbling river.
In four charming bedrooms, a four and a half bath house, elegant carved wooden double doors open to a domed entrance to a double living room with curved white cement walls, wooden beams, a-boo peek interior windows, chandeliers and fireplaces eight feet tall.
Stallone’s personal belongings are seen (glass sculptures; bronze mini boxing and horse racing sculpture) among special tables, a built-in wooden entertainment center, and a full bar. A vintage Rambo 3 hallway poster line.
The spacious kitchen offers a large wooden-and-stone island under wrought iron chandeliers and wooden-covered ceilings – the usual home theme.
The breakfast room is next to the kitchen, while the other outdoor barbecue room with Wolf’s ranks is right outside the dining room which opens to the back patio. There is also a wine room.
Upstairs, the main en-suite bedroom offers a flat-screen TV, fireplace and vanishing private terrace.
The main bathroom includes a double sink vanity sink, an extra long bathtub, a rain shower and a curved niche spa.
It’s hard to believe Stallone let this beautiful house go. It must be difficult – a bit like letting Rocky Balboa go. And we know that will never happen.
