The team opens camp on Friday, but four players can’t return until the end of next week soon.
The Phillies had seven players test positive for COVID-19 last month, but Manager Joe Girardi could not answer whether any of the players were among them because of medical confidentiality.
“What can I tell you, they are in the disabled list, and that’s all I can tell you,” Girardi said Thursday. “MLB gave protocols about how to handle it. I have no schedule for these players. I can’t answer this question. As soon as I get a response, I’ll give it to you.”
