Shane van Gisbergen has destroyed his rival Supercars Eseries with a ‘perfect’ lap in the Top 10 Shootout Round Five of the Eseries.
Commentators are amazed at the only round of SVG for putting themselves in the leading position for racing at the virtual Spa-Francorchamps, track of the Belgian Grand Prix.
In the Top 10 Shootout only the SIX racer managed to complete one round, van Gisbergen was almost half a second clear at first, when commentators claimed he was ‘wiping out’ his rival.
McLaren F1 starlet Lando Norris is one of four stars who made a mistake in Shootout, with the Formula One starlet also a famous virtual racer.

Norris is a talented virtual racing competitor, and he will be looking to claim bragging rights about fellow F1 young colleagues, Max Verstappen, who scored three runners-up results when he faced Esercars Eseries three weeks ago.
And Norris isn’t the only big name to line up on the grid, with former Supercars champion James Courtney also joining the action.
The 2010 title winner has taken wildcard entries for round five – a half mark of the 10-week virtual racing series – just seven days after two-time series champion Marcos Ambrose made his Eseries debut.
This will be Courtney’s first time seen since he dramatically walked away from the Sydney Supercars outfit Team after the opening round of the 2020 season in February.
A veteran of 15 full-time Supercars seasons, 39-year-old Courtney has since been linked to wildcard entries with Holden’s Penrite Racing for three rounds of endurance when the on-track race resumes after the closure of the coronavirus.
“I have raced in Europe before but not from my lounge so it will be interesting to see how I move, really looking forward to testing myself in the Supercar again,” said Courtney, former champion of British Formula Ford and Formula One Jaguar test driver .
McLaren Formula One racers Lando Norris and Jack Doohan – F3 racers and son of five-time world champion motorcycle rider Mick Doohan – will also appear as a round five wildcard.
