LWMC conducts information seminar | Instant News

Lahore – the Lahore waste management companies (LWMC) held an information seminar on the work of cleanliness on the eve of Eid ul Azha. Governor Punjab CH Muhammad Sarwar was the chief guest while the provincial Minister of industry and trade of MIAN Aslam Iqbal, Executive Director LWMC Shahzaib Hasnain, Deputy General Director LWMC Tariq Hussain Bhatti, Dr. Zarfishan Tahir and others participated in the seminar. Addressing the participants, head Muhammad Sarwar said that by keeping clean, we can defeat most diseases.

AFP to launch online seminar for immunity begins | Instant News

Lahore: athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) the second two-launch day online workshop ‘immunity’ began on Saturday.

Seminar for sports professionals, coaches, trainers, doctors, massage therapists, members of medical commissions and elite athletes from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Iran, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

The seminar was inaugurated by Punjab Minister for sports, youth and tourism Paradise Taimoor Khan Bhatti. The Chairman of the SAAF and AFP President major gen (Retd) Akram SAHI welcomed all honorable guests and participants of the seminar. Dr. Lalit K Bhanot, President of the SAAF was also present at the opening ceremony.

Pakistan Railways holds a seminar on fuel management | Instant News

To have a detailed view of various fuel management perspectives with a special focus on optimal consumption and recommendations for efficient use, a seminar was held at the Pakistan Railway Technical Training Center in Karachi on Friday.

All officers from Pakistan’s Karachi Railways division and related officials attended the seminar.

According to a press release from the Pakistan Railroad, fuel occupies a large portion of the Pakistan Railroad budget because almost a quarter (or 23 percent) of the annual budget is allocated for fuel every year. “During FY 2019-20, the percent of fuel expenditure was 18.71 percent (or Rs17.8 billion) of the total budget of Rs. 95 billion, “he said.

“Pakistan Railways must allocate a colossal amount in the heads of salaries and pensions that not only cannot be changed but is increasing every year. However, adequate fuel management targeting efficient and optimal utilization can open the way to reduce the department’s fiscal deficit from this head, “said a senior Pakistani Railway official.

The mechanical engineer of the Fasahatullah Baig division gave a detailed presentation on this issue. He said that in the course of track maintenance issues, rolling stock operational practices and driver behavior contribute to how fuel is consumed.

He said various steps had been taken to reduce fuel losses thereby ensuring savings. Pakistan Railway Division Superintendent, Arshad Salam Khattak, in his closing note said that the fuel awareness campaign will soon begin with the aim of efficient utilization.
