After losing the first test against West Indies, England bounced back strongly in the second match of the series. The West Indies recorded a five-wicket victory over England in Southampton to take a 1-0 lead. But the hosts took the lead in the second test after a brilliant performance serves. England declared their innings after scoring 469 runs with the Sibley House and Ben Stokes scoring centuries.
It was another great display from Stokes, who smashed his 10th test ton at old Trafford. All hands are scored 176 runs in 356 balls registering his long innings with the point of view of face balls. It was the second time Stokes has scored more than 150 runs in the longest format of the game.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan praised Stokes and called him “the best player of England.” Vaughn welcomed Stokes for his ferocious knock, and said that all hands again delivered for England side.

Former England captain Vaughan also praised the Sibley house, who scored his second test century in 312 balls. It was the slowest test hundred in England since 2000.
England declared their first innings on 469-9 once played 162 overs. The West Indies University, trailing by 437 runs at the end of the second day.
Brathwaite Kraigg and Alzarri Joseph remained unbeaten on six and 14 runs respectively. Sam Curran dismissed John Campbell, scoring only 12 runs. Windies ended day’s play at 32/1 in 14 overs.
