‘If Shehbaz betrayed Nawaz, Imran would not be in the picture’ | Instant News

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said that if Shehbaz Sharif betrayed his brother Nawaz Sharif, no one would put Imran Khan in the prime minister position.

Maryam said this while talking to reporters at Jati Umra’s residence. Shehbaz and his son Hamza are in prison for being loyal to Nawaz, he said.

PML-N leaders spoke about the party and rumors about its leadership. Sometimes rumors spread about uncle-nephew fights, and then claims were made from two different narratives in the party, he said.

“But we are one. Until the very last moment, Grandma kept telling Shehbaz Sharif to support Nawaz Sharif, ”said Maryam. “Shehbaz Sharif sacrificed a lot for his brother.”

He criticized the government and said he had lost the Kashmir case and was now talking about Israel.

“Now people don’t think Imran Khan deserves to be blamed for anything,” said the PML-N leader. “Instead, they immediately ask their superiors questions.”

Commenting on the situation in Pakistan, he said problems started when an extension was granted. The current government has the right to return home given the current situation, said Maryam.

He said from the direction the country was headed, he was worried there would be a terrible accident ahead.

PML-N leaders criticized PM Khan for not being able to pronounce Ma’eeshat (economy), questioning his ability to run state affairs.

“Imran Khan said a friend of his brother-in-law had been encroached on,” he said. “Nobody told him that things like that weren’t talked about on television.

“He’s looking down on his constituency,” said Maryam. “A person doesn’t always save his job. There are some things outside of one’s job too. “

17 November 2020 14:25 IS

Lahore [Pakistan], 17 November (ANI): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) criticized the ruling government for giving a Harsh treatment to the party president Shehbaz Sharif by continuing to transfer him from prison to court even though the leader of the National Assembly’s Opposition suffered from chronic back pain.
“We condemn transitions Shehbaz Sharif to [General] Hospital [for his CT Scan there] in an armored car instead of being provided a better vehicle, keeping in mind his chronic back pain problem, “party spokesman Marriyum Aurangzeb said in a statement here Monday, reporting Dawn.
Guess the Prime Minister Imran Khan is doing politics for the health of opposition leaders, he said Khan could only tease Sharif because the Prime Minister took pride in persecuting the opposition while his Pakistani party Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) failed to run the country.
He further alleged that the Gilgit-Baltistan election was stolen by detaining Sharif.

Meanwhile Dawn reported that PML-N Punjab’s Minister of Information Azma Bukhari stated that Punjab was prosperous Shehbaz Sharif is now under the rule of the “wheat and sugar mafia” because the government was involved in “persecuting” the former chief minister and his son Hamza Shehbaz.
He also alleged that the Punjab cabinet meeting held on Monday discussed ways and means of further suppressing Sharif through tactics such as forcing the Anti-Corruption Formation to act against the opposition.
The Federal Investigative Agency (FIA) on Sunday registered cases against Sharif and his two sons in a multibillion-rupee sugar scam, money laundering, fraud and other charges, among others.
Last year, Sharif and his son Hamzah were charged with the Ramzan Sugar Mills case.
The NAB later alleged that Sharif had misused his post as the former chief minister of Punjab to build a five hundred million rupee bridge to facilitate the Ramzan factory. (ANI)

The NAB arrested Shehbaz Sharif in a money laundering case on September 28.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Accountability Court in Lahore on Tuesday extended the physical detention of Pakistan Muslim League President-Nawaz (PML-N) and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif to October 20.

The NAB presented Shehbaz Sharif before the Lahore Accountability Court (AC) at the end of the 14-day physical detention and requested an extension of the same.

During the last trial, Shehbaz Sharif complained that everyone knows he has had back pain in the past 25 years, but even so, NAB authorities deliberately put his food on the ground and not on the table.

Shehbaz Sharif added that all this happened at the direction of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Shehzad Akbar and warned that if his health was threatened a case would be brought against Imran Khan and his advisers.

Earlier on September 29, the accountability court gave the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) 14 days physical detention against Shehbaz Sharif, a day after his arrest.

Accountability court judge Jawad-ul-Hassan announced the decision and ordered that the Leader of the Opposition be brought back before the court on 13 October.

‘Opposition on the same page to expel the PTI government’ | Instant News

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday separately met with PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif and JUI-F chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Lahore to discuss ways to oust the “elected” government of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government.

He also held two separate press conferences after the meeting, saying that his party would support joint opposition decisions including holding mid-term elections after a multi-party conference after Eidul Azha.

“The elected government of Imran Khan has become a threat to the masses,” the PPP chairman told reporters after his meeting with opposition leaders in the National Assembly. “Internal changes and mid-term elections among other options already exist,” he added.

“Very good news for the masses will come out of APC [all-parties conference] which will be held after Eid[ul Azha], he said.

Shehbaz, speaking on that occasion, said the PTI government had failed to deliver, adding that the longer he remained at the helm, the more it would be a threat to the country. “This elected government is not able to bring the country out of trouble,” he added.

The PML-N president also accused the PTI government of “witch hunting”, questioning why NAB could not investigate “massive corruption” in Peshawar BRT and Malam Jabba among other PTI projects.

After meeting Maulana Fazl the previous day, the PPP chairman blamed Prime Minister Imran for the difficulties currently being faced by the masses, adding that people were on the same page against the Pakistani government of Tehreek-e-Insaf.

The PPP Chair also condemned politics on the health condition of Shehbaz Sharif. “It’s unfortunate to do politics on one’s health,” he said.

Bilawal further said that the opposition was on the same page to oust Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government. “Every APC unanimous decision including midterm elections will be carried out,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, the chairman of JUI-F said that he would bring all political parties on one page, adding that the opposition Rehbar Committee would formulate a proposal after Eidul Azha.

“The Rehbar Committee proposal will be presented at a conference of all parties,” he said.

It is important here to mention that Shehbaz Sharif, after holding a meeting with Fazlur Rehman on Monday, has announced to hold a conference of all opposition parties after Eid al-Fitr, which falls on Saturday, August 1.

The PML-N president said that getting rid of the government took time because the country was being governed by “illegitimate and incompetent people”. He added that inflation has surged in the past two years and the massive rise in gasoline prices is an example of bad governance at the moment.
