NEW DELHI: Indian cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu has welcomed Prime Minister Imran Khan’s determination to launch Indian Pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.
Sidhu, who was suspended from The Kapil Sharma Present over his remarks on Pulwama assault, took to Twitter saying, “Prime Minister Imran Khan each noble act makes a means for itself… your goodwill gesture is ‘a cup of pleasure’ for a billion individuals, a nation rejoices.”
Pal of Imran Khan, Sidhu went on to say, “I’m overjoyed for his (Abhinandan) mother and father and family members.”
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday introduced to launch Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman on Friday as a peace gesture.
The pilot was captured by Pakistani forces after his jet was downed on Thursday.
The prime minister was giving a coverage assertion at a joint sitting of each homes of parliament convened to debate state of affairs that has emerged after Indian intrusion of Pakistan’s airspace .
