Lahore – the Punjab government will pass a law to reign in private schools to save parents from paying exorbitant fees, the Minister of education, Dr Murad Rass said the Punjab Assembly during the question hour on Monday. In the General debate on health, Dr. yasmin Rashid claimed that the good actions of the government helped in the fight against coronavirus.
The session began ine hour and 35 minutes after the scheduled time with the group Chairman MIAN Muhammad Shafi in the chair. During the question-hour on education, Dr. Murad Rass said the government decided to adopt a new law to bring under its purview private educational institutions in respect of their fees, uniform, curriculum, and other issues. The proposed law prohibits private educational institutions from charging exorbitant parent fees.
He said that if the law was the teacher who sexually molested students at Lahore grammar school would be behind bars instead of having to apologize for his arrogance. He lamented that PML-N remained in power for 10 years, but do not enact any law to regulate the activities of private educational institutions and that the government of PTI, claimed credit for the attention to this important issue. He said that while there is a pandemic coronavirus, private schools will receive 20 percent less in fees. He said that while the Department has fined the 36 schools in various articles in Polish schools started selling masks for students.
He told a questioner that as many as 42,000 books containing provocative content was removed from the market, while publishers are also listed in the black list.
He said that the government will deal with those who publish hateful and provocative material with iron hands, and another law in this regard is also not far off. In the General debate on health, Dr. yasmin Rashid said that around 600 inspection shall be conducted at the initial stage COVID-19, but now the government has the ability to carry out over 12,000 tests.
She said there was a 90 percent reduction in COVID-19. She said that the Prime Minister Iman Khan has decided to give civil award to Dr. Mustafa Kamal Pasha, Vice-Chancellor Nishtar medical University, Multan who lost their lives during the struggle against COVID-19. The regional government also began to establish hospitals and mother and child in Punjab.
