Meera, who recently went viral following reports of herself being admitted to a psychiatric facility in the United States, has now responded to rumors about her mental health and personal affairs last week.
The star had previously, through actor Imran Abbas, dismissed claims that she had a mental breakdown. And now, in an interview with BBC Urdu, that Baaji The actor claims that he was actually taken to a mental hospital after visiting a hospital in New York for a different reason.
When asked what really happened at NYC’s Brookline Hospital, Meera said “I got the vaccination for Covid-19 from the institute and am doing the next test.”
She remembers being shocked by the news that hit the internet following her regular check-ups with doctors. But is it true that he was taken to a mental institution and is now being deported from the US? “It’s the middle of the night here and everyone in my place is fast asleep. I can’t speak in detail right now, ”he replied to avoid the question.
But in the next WhatsApp message, Meera revealed, “I visited the hospital because I was depressed and in turn, I was declared to have a mental breakdown. My cell phone was also grabbed and I was taken to a psychiatric facility. There is a difference between insanity and depression, which must be understood. But the people here have me locked up. I spent the whole night screaming for help. Nobody’s coming.”
She later revealed that after her mother appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed, a call from the latter allowed her release. “Mr. Sheikh Rasheed contacted the Pakistani embassy in New York, who asked the facility to let me go,” he said. The actor also clarified that he was not deported from the US, but only left for Dubai to shoot the Pakistan project.
