DELHI BARU: Batsman opener Rohit Sharma
said that Bangladesh
is the only place in the world where Indians don’t get any support.
Rohit has a live Facebook chat with the Bangladeshi opening batsman Tamim Iqbal and that’s when the former praised Bangladesh for transforming themselves as cricket giants.
“India and Bangladesh have a passion cricket fans, when we make mistakes, we are criticized from all directions, I know it’s similar in Bangladesh, I know how enthusiastic fans can get in Bangladesh, when we go down to the ground to play a game, it’s hard to believe, India didn’t play without support audience, Bangladesh is the only place where we don’t have support, “Rohit told Tamim.
“We have support everywhere we go, Bangladesh is the only place where we don’t get any support, I know Bangladesh fans really support you, this is a totally different Bangladesh side now, you have a feeling of being excited in “your team now, everybody says that, we have seen with your performances during the 2019 World Cup as well,” he added.
Rohit enjoys star running against Bangladesh in Bangladesh ICC tournament.
India’s opening Batsman scored centuries against Bangladesh in the 2015 ICC 50-over World Cup, the 2017 Champions Trophy, and the 2019 ICC World Cup.
This knock by Rohit allowed India to escape from Bangladesh in the ICC knockout round match.
India and Bangladesh have succeeded in forming stiff competition in cricket over the past few years and fans have experienced some interesting moments.
Even the U-19 World Cup final between India and Bangladesh earlier this year was an intense relationship because members of the two sides even clashed in the match after the match ended.
Bangladesh then defeated India in the U-19 World Cup finals to win the tournament for the first time.
