A coronavirus kit that can produce results in 20 minutes has been developed by scientists at the University of South Wales in England. Rapid test kits cost less than $ 125 and are now being evaluated for extended use. It works by analyzing nasal swabs for COVID-19 traces.

The coronavirus swab test kit gives results in as fast as 20 minutes
The Department of Health and Social Care in the United Kingdom recently released figures showing that 19,316 COVID-19 tests were carried out yesterday, April 19. This means that more than 500,000 corona virus tests have been carried out since Britain began wiping suspected cases in January.
This totals around 300,000 people because patients need more than one test to confirm whether they have contracted the virus. The data also shows that the United Kingdom has conducted 5.54 tests for 1,000 fewer people than 7.14 in Turkey.
This is also at least 20 times lower than Iceland, which has rubbed at least 124 people out of 1,000 and is considered the highest in the world.
The University of South Wales test can actually help the UK analyze more samples, and can provide results faster than others if a swab test kit is immediately launched across the country.
It is likely to cut the need to send samples to one of the laboratories run by UK Public Health or established in 40 National Health Service (NHS) hospitals – which takes several days to process.
The testing kit is now being evaluated by the Cvm Taf Morgannwg University Health Agency and can be used within a week in several nursing homes.

This will greatly help health care workers
Based on The Daily Mail“This test is said to use chemicals that are different from current accredited tests, allowing universities to avoid congestion in the global supply chain. The shortage of trained staff, smears, and chemicals is considered to be the cause of a small UK testing program – such as the Government’s slow response to crisis. “
However, it is not clear what chemicals the testing machine uses to analyze the SABS. Jeroen Nieuwland told the Daily Mail that “We have developed our diagnostic testing platform over the past few years. So we know this works well for other infections. So our work has allowed us to quickly move on to detect the viruses that underlie COVID -19. It’s great to be able to support our frontline health workers, to help detect if they have a virus. “
This test can be used to try and improve large-scale community testing and can run hundreds of potential samples in one day.
