The government is set to make the final decision on May 27, whether the game can resume in June. That will depend on the coronavirus pandemic. The match must be played in an empty stadium because of a federal order banning the meeting of more than 1,000 people until August.

Switzerland’s top soccer league was suspended in February with 13 rounds remaining. St Gallen leads the defending champion Young Boys on goal difference.

It remains unclear whether the August 20 Diamond League track meets in Lausanne or the European Masters golf tournament at the end of August in Crans-Montana in the heart of the Swiss Alps can be staged.
