Activision Delays the New Season of War of Duty Warfare| Instant News

Activision postpones the following season Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the battle component, Warzone, and mobile partners, Call of Duty: Mobile without limit. The announcement came shortly after Sony said it was delaying the launch of the PlayStation 5 as the country grapples with national protests after the murder of George Floyd by police officer Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“While we all hope to play the new season of Modern Warfare, Warzone and Call of Duty: Mobile, now is not the time,” the Activision statement published on Twitter reads.

Activision does not share specifically and until when the launch has been postponed. The fourth season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was originally scheduled to begin this Wednesday, June 3, and bring a variety of new content such as maps, weapons, skins, and more.

“We are moving the launch of Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 to the next date. “Now is the time for those who speak for equality, justice and change to be seen and heard,” the company added.

It is unclear whether more game studios will follow Sony and Activision in the coming days. One of the most awaited titles, Naughty Dog’s sequel to Last of Us scheduled to land on June 19. However, there was no news whether to postpone the statement tweeted by Naughty Dog where he vowed to stand in solidarity against racism and injustice.

Earlier this week on June 1, Electronics Arts said it would delay the launch of its Madden NFL 21.

“We will find another time to talk football with you. Because this is bigger than the game, bigger than the sport, and requires all of us to stand together and commit to change,” EA wrote in a statement posted on Indonesia.

Google expressed similar concerns at the weekend when it announced the postponement of the beta launch and virtual showcase for Android 11. “We are very pleased to tell you more about Android 11, but now is not the time to celebrate. We are postponing the June 3 event and beta release. We will come back with more on Android 11, soon, “writes the company’s official dev account at a tweet.
