  • Google App for Android adds Search tools and other filters in the latest beta update.
  • The tool will help users to filter their search results according to time and will also be able to filter web pages that list verbatim to their requests.
  • Image search results will be different after this change is made by Google to its Android application.

Google for desktop offers its users several tools that help them to filter search results based on time. These tools also help users to filter all web pages to find results that match word for word in their queries. Previously, these features were not available in the Android application for Google but yesterday, the company released the latest beta for the Google Android application that came with these features.

The company launches these tools in the Android application so users can use their Google application as their assistant integration tool, not just a regular home screen widget search tool. The Google Android application does not have this feature and people use chrome instead. Now it seems the company has worked on this aspect and according to reports, it launched these features in the latest Google application beta yesterday.

Google search always returns results with high-level categories such as image tabs, video tabs, news tabs and shopping tabs, etc. And now outside this high-level category, Android users will also be able to use tools that will filter search results based on when content was uploaded like you can see results for content uploaded in the last hour, week or month or even the application will display a special range for a time that will help users to filter results by a certain date. These tools also provide users with the ability to customize their search results for whether the search engine shows all the search results related to their request or only verbatim for their requests made on the search engine.

This filter is finally available for Android users after a long time. Users can now perform this task in the Google application without having to use Chrome for this purpose. You can use this filter by accessing the search tools’ available below the search bar. A bar will slide down with the option to use this filter and you will be able to filter your search results based on time and match. But you can always return to the default results by tapping the delete button which will turn off this previously active filtering tool.

Image search results can be changed after these features are launched for general use in the main application. The company logo and search bar are always displayed instead of being hidden by the application after you search for image tab results.

That Google beta application v11.4 features this filter tool which was released by the company recently and you will not be able to enjoy this feature if you use the stable Google v11.3 application.
