Swedish developers from payday veterans need “more power” to realize their ambitions for the cooperative shooting game GTFO

Tencent has invested in Swedish game developer 10 Chambers.

10 Chambers was established in Stockholm in 2015. It is mainly the creator of GTFO, which is currently a first-person shooter game in Early Access.

According to a statement from co-founder and creative director Ulf Andersson, the studio’s long-term ambitions require “more power” to be fully realized.

Anderson said: “We need to find a partner that allows us to freely use our creativity to reach these new heights, while supporting our long-term commitment to the GTFO community.”

The value and terms of Tencent’s investment were not disclosed, but a statement from 10 Chambers described it as a “major share”.

The founding team of 10 Chambers are all veterans of Starbreeze and Overkill-especially “Payday: The Heist and Payday 2”-making them enjoy a high reputation in cooperative action games .
