When Nintendo launching its video game console Nintendo Switch in March 2017, it made video game companies increasingly popular with those who had played their games in the 80s and 90s, as well as for a new generation of younger video game fans.

The portable Nintendo Switch proved to be a hit, selling almost 75.17 million units worldwide. And now, something interesting might happen to a console that is very loved. According to reports from Extreme Technology, there are rumors circulating that Switch players will soon enjoy the popular game in hybrid dual screen switches. But how could this scenario?

According to a statement given by Mike Heskin, a vulnerability researcher and reverse engineering fan, the latest Switch firmware 10.0.0 contains some interesting hints about future fashion features, including a new type of hardware model, “nx-abcd.”

The original Nintendo Switch console was codenamed “NX” which used the code “ABCB,” so the new model somehow followed this format. Another interesting thing is that there are also references that point to secondary views.

Does Nintendo really work on a dual screen hybrid? Or is this just a rumor?

That report also said that his theory was about the second screen that might be included in the 3DS / DS console emulation. Or it could be a new streaming mode that will allow content to be streamed by players from their Switch to their TV. According to report, the theory makes perfect sense.

This theory regards 3DS as an important factor for the Nintendo Dual-screen hybrid switch to occur. The original console has a dual-core with a value of 1.25 DMIPS / MHz, while the Cortex-A57 is rated between 4.1 and 4.76 DMIPS / MHz.

The new 3DS console includes a quad-core ARM11 CPU at 804MHz and maintains the same ARM9 core at 134MHz. Old and new versions both use the same PICA 200 GPU core with only 268MHz.

The new 3DS has a faster CPU compared to the old one, but still uses an identical GPU. However, Maxwell-era GPUs in game consoles are faster than ever before, which can also support DS games without problems.

Using the Nintendo Switch console as a Wii U U-turner may require combining very different hardware parts. Extreme Technology said that the game could be played on a two-screen hybrid console if Nintendo would increase the power budget on their new console.
