The iPhone 12 was shown in this week’s teardown video and then officially sold to consumers. This device is one of two iPhone 12 devices released in the first wave, and the other is called iPhone 12 Pro. Compared with the last generations of iPhone, the external hardware design of this standard iPhone 12 is very different, so it is not surprising that internal changes have been made in several key aspects.
Inside, you will find a smaller battery than the iPhone 11. In the case that the iPhone 11 has a 3110mAh battery, the battery capacity of the iPhone 12 is 2815mAh. This does not necessarily mean that the iPhone 12 will not have such a long life on a single charge, but it is not the case. It may also be that the iPhone 12 has been better optimized to make full use of the battery it provides-we will see!
Compared with iPhone 11, the Taptic Engine in iPhone 12 is smaller. The component also retains the bold TAPTIC ENGINE letters, so anyone who removes the device can see the hardware, especially Apple made for Apple.
The teardown also revealed the MacSafe hardware. The magnetic ring (and various other components, including NFC) is located on the back of the device in the center of the panel. MagSafe hardware does not seem to be particularly easy to repair, but we need to wait for a more thorough removal to be sure.
Generally speaking, the arrangement of the iPhone 12 is very neat, and once a celebrity in the smartphone repair industry learns that they have joined, it may work relatively friendly. iPhone 12 hands-on and first impressions Now, stay tuned for our full review of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro!
