Blizzard announces that the first round of World of Warcraft: Alpha Shadowlands invitation will come out in a few days. Testers will soon see some new features.
BlizzCon 2019 saw the announcement of the expansion of the next World of Warcraft, Shadowlands, where Sylvanas casually decided to turn into a fart and open a hole in the sky. He played solo with Lich King somewhere along the way.
Five months later, on April 6, 2020, Blizzard was announced
that the first round of closed alpha invitations will come out so if you sign up for testing, you might want to check your email inbox the following days.
Not all new content will be available during alpha, or at least not immediately. Blizzard will gradually release more and more as the test progresses. However, there are some key points that must be immediately available.
Players must immediately see changes in their spellbooks, talents, and resources. There isn’t currently too much information about this but Blizzard noted they will release a separate blog post on this topic in the coming days.
The search interface will get updated because the developer will try to help players distinguish the main searches that advance the narrative from the small ones. 3D indicators are in the process but will be available for use, helping everyone orient themselves better in vertically oriented areas. Furthermore, players will be able to put private waypoints on the map.
Conquest will once again become a reliable currency and it will be obtained through Rated PvP in Shadowlands. These points will be used to buy items in the city of Oribos or to improve equipment further. Once again, Blizzard noted they would further elaborate on this system and talk more about the endgame itemization plan.
