An analytical report published today presents data that proves that Apple is the leader in the True Wireless Stereo earphone market space with a very wide margin of being able to attract interest Android the user. Overall, the audible market in India grew 700% last year, becoming the fastest-growing audible market.
Apple dominated the Indian TWS market throughout 2019 driven by strong second generation AirPod sales. Although it now faces intense competition because many OEMs enter this segment, factors such as its reputation as a pioneer, noise suppression features, easy integration with Apple devices and fast charging have helped it maintain its leadership position. Although, in terms of revenue sharing, Apple will continue to order the largest part to move forward, reported Counterpoint analyst Shilpi Jain.
The report further notes that some brands use affordable pricing strategies and strong growth momentum while some brands utilize advanced features to get premium. Overall, TWS becomes an important part of the smartphone OEM connected device strategy and encourages ecosystem attachment. Expect more OEMs to enter and follow Apple, Samsung, and realm in the Indian market where the plug level for wireless buds is still quite low. Furthermore, the current locking situation because COVID-19 will speed up TWS requests because many people work from home and connect via voice and video calls.
The number two player in the Indian clothing market is an Indian online company Gonoise.com who sell their Noise brand. They capture 12% of the market in 2019.
