Huawei will launch its first OLED TV.
As reported, the TV will be called the Huawei Smart TV X65 and must offer a 65-inch OLED panel.
The company is expected to launch a new TV on April 8.
It looks like Huawei will soon offer an OLED TV. According to reports by My driver, the company might plan to release a 65-inch smart TV with an OLED panel. Called the Huawei Smart TV X65, this TV is said to offer a variety of additional features such as cameras and sensors aimed at enhancing the user experience.
As reported, the TV will display a 24MP pop-up camera mounted directly above the display panel. This should help with video chat. It was also said to package the ambient light sensor which had to help adjust the image quality according to the ambient lighting in the room. Of course, the TV will not come with Android TV due to restrictions imposed by Huawei by the United States, so it is said to be coming with the company’s Hongmeng OS. This TV is also said to offer a way to control the TV without sound or remote control. Speculation shows that this can be a form of movement control.
Another impressive feature that the Huawei Smart TV X65 is said to be coming is a setup of 14 speakers that are said to be below the screen. The report notes that it will come with a calibration process that will sense the room sound system and then create a profile for surround sound audio. This TV is expected to be launched on April 8, so hope more information.
While OLED panels have become very common among smartphones, this technology is still quite a niche when it comes to TV. At present, only a few manufacturers such as Sony and LG offer TVs with OLED panels, that too in their premium offerings. Others, like Samsung, stick with QLED panels. At least for now.
