Sonos has quietly started selling a new version of its Arc soundbar that supports Dolby Atmos. It does not have a built-in microphone, although you have to risk buying it at Costco.
A Sonos representative told TechHive that the Sonos Arc SL Shadow Edition is now only available exclusively in “participating” Costco stores in the US and Canada, and will be available on Costco.com later this month. The new Arc is priced at US$749, while the standard version is priced at US$799 (pictured above).
Arc of Arc SL first began to spread on the Sonos subreddit, Reddit users post images Part of the new soundbar on the store shelf. Sonos has not officially announced Arc SL, and it has not been listed on the company’s website, but Sonos representatives have confirmed its existence.
Similar to no microphone Sonos One SL, Arc SL is the same as standard Arc, but lacks the built-in microphone of the voice assistant. Both Alexa and Google Assistant are built into the original Arc, although only one can be used at a time. If you pair the soundbar with a compatible smart speaker, you can still use Arc SL with the voice assistant.
According to Sonos, in addition to the absence of a microphone and the “shadow black” color, Arc SL also has the same “immersive sound experience” as the standard Arc.
We praise Primitive arc, Due to its “extraordinary” sound quality, it went on sale in June (one problem with the response of bass cars is Then fix it through a software update). In other words, we are disappointed that it has only one HDMI input, which seems a bit stingy for a $800 soundbar.
For soundbar buyers who want standard Arc sound quality without a voice assistant, the new Arc SL may be a good choice, although it is only $50 cheaper than the original price, Arc SL is not a cheap deal .
Update shortly after release In addition, Arc SL will be available on Costco.com later this month, and you can pair the soundbar with smart speakers.
