The Office 365 roadmap reveals many improvements to the Microsoft Teams app on iOS and Android.

The list includes:

Improved mobile search

The mobile team search feature will soon provide predictive suggestions as users type. The app also lets you “use the date picker to scroll to past and future dates in the calendar”, which may make it easier to find past conversations.

Fixed chat

Microsoft will soon introduce the ability to pin chat to the menu bar, making the process of returning to a specific conversation easier.

Filtered chat

Users will soon also be able to filter their chat lists through different parameters.

New emoji and Gif

Microsoft is updating the Emoji and Gif libraries, which should make finding and inserting multimedia content easier.

It is expected that these features will be released to mobile clients before the end of March 2021.
