Fans of Cyberpunk 2077 recently laughed at some of the content that was recorded in the game’s age ranking application made with various agencies around the world. One such item, for example, is a clear option to be able to adjust your character’s genitals. Gosh!
One of the more controversial inclusions to appear in the ranking, however, has been to mention the dreaded “in-game purchase” tag. In a report through TechPowerUpHowever, Projekt Red CD has quickly quelled all worries! No, Cyberpunk 2077 will do it not including micro transactions!
Just mentioning “in-game purchases” makes a lot of that panic game will (like many others today) will be full of opportunities to try and squeeze more money from you either through in-game items, skins, loot boxes or currency. However, the good news is that this does not seem to be the case.
So why does the ESRB mention this? Yes, apparently because of how some aspects of the game menu present themselves. As we understand, because the in-game menu specifically shows the options that can be chosen for DLC (which is clearly coming in the future), this is under the umbrella of in-game purchases’ denotation purchases with ESRB.
So, it’s there, but only on technical!
What are we thinking?
Well, the short version is that Cyberpunk 2077 will not have micro transactions. This is just a peculiarity of the ranking system that the mention of DLC in a game requires a declaration laration to be made. Nevertheless, we admit, this is a gray area that may need further clarification by the ESRB to prevent future misunderstanding of this nature.
The short version is, rejoice! Cyberpunk 2077 arrived this September and, apparently, Projekt Red CD is not looking to give you more money than the price of the game (and that is the DLC of the future)!
