Snapchat confirmed the outage on Twitter at around 10:30 ET. At the time of publication, the hashtag #snapchatdown is now the number one trend on Twitter.
“We are aware that many Snapchatters have problems using the application,” tweet @SnapchatSupport account. “Wait a minute – we’re looking at it.”
Because many people quarantine themselves during the coronavirus pandemic, it is actually a little surprising how little social media outages, given how many people use this service.
