ITelephone 12 is the most anticipated cellphone this year, and that’s partly because Apple is expected to offer four models for 2020. And now a big leak has revealed screen resolution and other screen details for every size of the iPhone 12 while also confirming other key features and prices.
In a sent by Ross Young, founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, the 5.4 inch iPhone 12 will be “Apple’s most successful launch in a few years” because 5G connectivity, OLED display and prices that can be as low as $ 649. These are details on all four models.
iPhone 12 (5.4 inches)
The iPhone 12 standard will reportedly display a 5.4 inch flexible OLED screen from Samsung Display. Previously it was leaked that the BOE would become a supplier. Young said the panel will have Y-OCTA technology, which means that the touch sensor is integrated directly into the screen. The 12.4 inch iPhone screen has a rumored resolution of 2340 x 1080, which will be an upgrade from the iPhone 11 1792 x 828-pixel panel.
Young reiterates several other rumors we’ve heard about the iPhone 12, including 5GHz sub-6GHz technology, 4GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB storage. You can also expect Apple’s new A14 Bionic processor and dual rear camera. That’s not bad for the alleged price of $ 649.
iPhone 12 Max (6.1 inches)
The iPhone 12 Max will be the direct successor to the iPhone 11, because it will display the same 6.1-inch screen. But the DSCC report said that Apple will dispose of the LCD this time for a flexible 6.1-inch OLED panel that will be sourced from the BOE and LG Display. This panel will likely have an additional touch sensor and a resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels.
The expected price of the iPhone 12 Max is $ 749, and for your money you will reportedly get a Bionic A14 chip, 4GB of RAM and the same dual rear camera as a regular iPhone, plus 128GB of up to 256GB of storage. So it looks like only a real iPhone 12 Max upgrade over the iPhone 12 will be the screen size.
iPhone 12 Pro (6.1 inches)
Ross Young talked a lot about the iPhone 12 Pro, which he said would be shipped with flexible OLEDs from Samsung with 10-bit color support and integrated Y-OCTA touches. In fact, Young believes that this will be the first cellphone with 10-bit color support. As previously reported, Apple may decide to call this XDR display, which stands for extreme dynamic range.
The resolution of the iPhone 12 Pro will reportedly be the same as the iPhone Pro Max at 2532 x 1170. Unfortunately, while the iPhone 12 Pro can offer a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, Apple may not adopt LTPO technology, which will allow phones to scale dynamically from 1Hz to 120Hz and help battery life. That Samsung Galaxy Note 20 reportedly supports LTPO, which will give the flagship an edge. Previously, Young tweeted it only Samsung’s mainstay has LTPO in 2020.
Other iPhone 12 Pro features include 6GB of 128GB RAM up to 512GB of storage and a quad camera array that includes a 64MP main sensor and a LiDAR flight time sensor to enjoy IPhone AR application. You can also expect support for sub 6GHz and 5W mmWave and an initial price of $ 999.
iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7 inches)
Last but not least, the iPhone 12 Pro Max will pack a large 6.7 inch OLED flexible screen from Samsung and a resolution of 2778 x 1824 pixels. This panel will also support 10-bit, Y-OCTA and XDR color capabilities. This phone will also lack LTPO capability, which can affect the battery life.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max will have the same quad camera setup as a normal iPhone 12 and two similar flavors of 5G connectivity. But a larger 6.7 inch screen will order a premium with prices starting at $ 1,099.
