An update of Nokia 5.1 Plus Android 10 is now being launched in India | Instant News

Nokia 5.1 Plus is the latest smartphone from HMD Global to receive Android 10 updates. The Finnish company has announced the Android 10 update is now available for download on Nokia 5.1 Plus, however, in certain countries at first. Just like the previous launch, the update of the Nokia 5.1 Plus Android 10 is being released gradually. HMD Global has also issued a new roadmap for the launch of Android 10, which states that the next smartphone that will get an update is Nokia 1 Plus. Later, Nokia 1, Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1 will start getting updates in Q2.

Since the launch of Android 10, HMD Global has updated 10 percent of units in 34 countries under the first wave while 50 percent of units will get an update on May 22 and 100 percent of units on May 24. These countries include India, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Belgium, Cambodia, Denmark, Finland, Georgia, Hong Kong, Iceland, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Laos, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Thailand, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. The second wave countries will be announced later by the company.

The size of the Android 10 update is 1.32GB and brings the firmware version up to V3.11A, according to a Nokia PowerUser report that also shares a screenshot of the update on the Nokia 5.1 Plus. New features include dark mode, motion navigation, and smart replies among others.

Nokia 5.1 Plus is the 15th smartphone that has received Android 10 updates. Previously, HMD Global updated the Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 8.1, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.2, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 6.1 , Nokia 4.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 2.3, Nokia 2.2. The remaining smartphones will be updated in Q2, according to the revised HMD Global road map. Nokia branded smartphone launched with the promise of Android software updates for two years.

Nokia 5.1 Plus was launched in India in 2018 with an initial price of Rs 10,999. It comes with an HD + 5.9 inch screen with indentations at the top. This is supported by the MediaTek Helio P60 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is support for microSD cards up to 400GB to expand storage. This smartphone has a combination of a 13 megapixel main camera and a 5 megapixel secondary camera on the back while there is an 8 megapixel front shooter for selfies. Nokia 5.1 Plus is supported by a 3060mAh battery under the hood.
