The Fall 76The next big free expansion, Wastelanders, is coming soon. The publisher Bethesda has now shared footage of the launch, showing what players can expect from significant updates.
As previously announced, Wastelanders introduced the NPC into the game, which is something that people have been asking for since it was launched. Wastelanders, which is the biggest update for Fallout 76 so far, was launched as a free download on April 14 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. In addition to human NPCs, updates add more friends, a reputation system, and a new lead search. Look at the trailer below to see some of this new content in action.
April 14 is also the day Fallout 76 will finally come to Steam, following a period of exclusivity for the Bethesda PC game launcher itself.
The Wastelanders release, and the Steam version of Fallout 76, should have taken place on April 7. However, Bethesda push launch by one week due to complications related to the Bethesda team moving to work-from-home arrangements because of this COVID-19 crisis.
Fallout 76 had a difficult start in November 2018, and Bethesda has released many updates since then, including Wild Appalachia expansion and battle mode on Nuclear Winter. Bethesda also introduced a series of team-based challenges raids.
On GameSpot Fallout Review 76, Edmond Tran writes, “Bethesda has stated her intention to continue to support the game for a long time, but at launch, Fallout 76 was a bad experience. There was an echo of the awesome quality of this series, but look in front of the facade, past the Vault Boy animation. funny thing, pass through familiar radio tracks, and you won’t find a heart – only unnecessary wasteland is destined to be repeated continuously. “
