Pokemon Go fans are counting down to the start of the May 2020 Community Day event.

The latest Pokemon Go Community Day event turns focus to Seedot, which is ideal if you don’t have Shiftry.

Unlike traditional Community Day events, the May 2020 celebration is the Play at Home edition.

Niantic explained further: “Get ready for another Community Day: Play in the Home Edition, this time featuring Seedot, Pokemon Acorn!

“This special event format will last six hours and will feature an increase in Incense duration, GO Snapshot surprises, Special Research stories, and more!

“We will also be testing the first Community Day live broadcast during the event, so just wait for more details.”

Seedot Community Day has a May 24 release date and 11:00 start time. It ended six hours later at 5 pm local time.

As part of the Community Day event, some lucky fans were able to catch Shiny Seedot.

Players who develop Nuzleaf (the evolved Seedot form) into Shiftry during the hours of the event will be rewarded with the exclusive Community Day Bullet Seed movement.

Other bonuses include triple Catch XP, three-hour Incense, and bonus items from Pokemon Buddy that are rated Great or higher.

Niantic promises to reward players who take photos with mysterious surprises, while the Community Day bundle will be available in stores.

The May Community Day bundle features Elite Fast TM, 30 Ultra Balls, three Incense, and three Lucky Eggs.

If you really want to get into the spirit of things, then you can also take it See Multiple Special Research Stories.

“Follow Professor Willow when he learns about Seedot and discover how much it is and the shapes that develop, Nuzleaf and Shiftry, enjoy playing with Coach and Pokemon,” read the official description.

“Complete to get three Incense, five Golden Razz Berries, and other prizes.”

As an added bonus, Niantic is hosting a live 24 hour Community Day broadcast Youtube.

For viewers in the UK, the action starts at 2 a.m. BST on May 24, so you can check it in the morning of the event.
