‘Fortnite’ Season 2 Doomsday Live Event Countdown Timer & Date Appears | Instant News


Fortnite fans have found a new countdown timer in the Battle Royale lobby which might reveal the date and time of the highly anticipated Season 2 match live event. Assuming the timer is correct, the so-called Doomsday event is set to start May 30 at 2:05 p.m. EDT.

At present the timers are seen in two locations including the main lobby screen and on the Midas table in the Agent’s room. Leaks indicate a third countdown timer is expected to float above the Agency at some point, but that may occur closer to the start of the actual event.

Whatever they appear, the new countdown confirms that major changes will occur Fortnite just one week from today. What changes might technically remain a mystery, but leakage and developments in the game reveal a lot about the types of events that players can see. The device is thought to have sat in Midas’s room for a while, but might move to another place on the map because the date of the newly confirmed event is getting closer.

Regardless of how specifically the Doomsday event is played, players can expect big news over the next few days and through the start of Season 3 on June 2. Fortnite Season 3 was postponed in mid-April, but the teasers of the next Battle Pass had appeared. Without ruining more than we need, just say something will happen to the Chapter 2 map that fans have predicted for some time.

Fortnite has established a seasonal tradition by offering major live events leading to the debut of significant updates. From rocket launching to taking entire games offline for several days at a time, community-focused strategies remain one of the most effective ways to get fans involved with new developments both before and after it happens. It remains to be seen whether the Doomsday event meets the expectations of high fans, but, with the appearance of this new countdown, Epic makes the celebrations begin quite early.
