The Galaxy Note 10 Plus last year was truly a beautiful thing, with a stunning display and superlative industrial design. And, judging by some high-quality (and completely unofficial) renders the Galaxy Note 20 Plus, it looks like Samsung won’t change too much in 2020. The only major difference is the new larger camera module on the back of the device.
This rendering comes from a famous leaker @OnLeaks working closely with the phone case maker Pigtou. Like all rendering based on leaky CAD drawings, they should be taken with a pinch of salt, but the design they recommend for the Note 20 Plus seems quite reasonable.
The most obvious feature is the large, almost end-to-end display, with curved bezels, beveled sides, and small hole cutouts for selfie cameras that are almost identical to the 2019 design. The top and bottom edges also look the same as the Note 10 Plus, with grille speakers, charging port and room for a typical S Pen stylus.
In terms of size, the Note 20 Plus will reportedly be slightly larger than 10 Plus, with a 6.9-inch screen, not a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen last year, and dimensions are slightly longer but thinner, with the same overall width (length 165mm long), Width 77.2mm, and 7.6mm thick, according to the leak).
However, the most striking change is the camera module on the back of the device, which is much bigger than the Note Plus 2019, according to rendering.
In Note 10 and Note 10 Plus this module is a fairly thin oval containing three lenses, while the flash module is positioned on one side, flattened with a case (in 10 Plus there are two additional divots that supply deep sensing on this phone). ability). But note 20 shows a larger, more square module that seems to integrate all of these components – lenses and various kinds of gubbins – into a single unit.
This looks very similar to the camera system on this year’s Galaxy S20 Ultra, which was very designed to showcase Samsung’s photographic capabilities. The S20 Ultra module contains five lenses that have up to 108 megapixels, and 4x optical zoom that offers solid results up to 10x zoom with the help of software. There’s a lot that can be said about the camera system, but look Full review from February for more information.
If the Note 20 and 20 Plus are something like previous iterations in the series, they will contain the best, biggest, and brightest of Samsung smartphone specifications. So it doesn’t make sense to expect some high-end camera hardware. We have not seen the leaked specifications for Notes 2020, so we have to see what surface in the coming months.
Reports indicate that Samsung will launched Note 20 in August, although this is likely to be the only online event in reaction to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic.
