Sony Xperia 1 II: $ 1,200 for an 4G Android phone? This Is Why New Superior Phones Are Not Eligible | Instant News

Sony Xperia 1 II, the brand’s latest flagship Android phone, recently opened its market for stores located in the United States. Clearly, price seems to be a major problem in its release. Some reports even describe the new Sony Xperia as “the most expensive 4G smartphone.” Is that really not worth it at all?

Verge reported This week the Sony Xperia 1 II (pronounced as the ‘double sign’) is the latest flagship Android phone pending from the brand.

Shipments of US devices will begin on July 24, but pre-ordering on the website will occur earlier, scheduled on June 1. If you want to have a pair of free Sony WF-1000XM3 noise-reducing earbuds, customers only need to pre-order on June 28. And it’s yours, it’s free.

Unfortunately, having a free Sony earbud doesn’t cover the unreasonable price of the latest Xperia.

Why ‘expensive’?

If you are interested in buying this latest Sony flagship phone, you can reconsider how expensive this device is for an ‘average’ Android phone.

According to the company, Sony Xperia 1 II cost $ 1,199. Compared to other smartphone variants available now on the market, this price seems too expensive for the brand.

For example, the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max costs less than $ 1,000, and even the Samsung Galaxy S20 with the cost of 5G technology accessibility is far cheaper than Sony’s flagship.

Sony Xperia 1 II at first was announced will be launched at the Mobile World Congress event which was postponed in Barcelona last February. However, because the government banned large meetings because of Coronavirus, it was canceled.

Now, the device is almost five months late, but technology experts are disappointed.

Of course, the Xperia 1 II has a 4K OLED HDR screen that is 6.5 inches and has an aspect ratio of 21: 9, which shows a higher screen than the others. This device is also powered by a high-quality Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, has a 3.5 mm audio jack for headphones, and supports wireless charging with a 4000 mAh battery that can last long enough.

Unfortunately, the Sony Xperia 1 II will only support 4G in the US – the main reason why it is too expensive for Americans to pay a price of almost $ 1,200 for this phone.

But for European outlets, the flagship phone will have a 5G variant. That’s why it’s expensive.
