The Last of Us Part II will be the focus of Sony’s next State of Play stream, which is scheduled to take place today, May 27, at 1 pm PT / 4 PM ET / 10 PM CEST. You can watch the entire stream directly here.
Streaming will feature an in-depth dive into the gameplay mechanics seen in previous sequel shows, with vice president Naughty Dog and co-director of The Last of Us Part II Neil Druckmann narrating the recorded narration. Although many streams will provide context for the gameplay that is already displayed, there will be about eight minutes of gameplay for the new game area as well.
The state of Play stream is estimated to be around 20 minutes in total, similar to the latest stream for other upcoming Sony PS4 exclusive, Tsushima’s ghost. And if you’re wondering, Sony made it very clear in this State of Play announcement that it won’t be mentioned PlayStation 5. However, it seems that news will be coming soon on that console, as June 3 presentation will reportedly focus on PS5 news.
The Last of Us Part II is scheduled to launch on June 19. Naughty Dog has tempted his sequel extensively since announcing a new release date, with new videos on both approach to storytelling and new gameplay mechanism.
