Xiaomi is currently focused on launching its laptop series in India but once that happens, it will return to its main business, which is launching smartphones. The new launch will occur under the Redmi series and if you see a recent leak, it seems the Redmi 9 series could be the next on the Xiaomi plate. What’s even better is that this year, there are three new models included in this series.

An informant named Sudhanshu Ambhore, who had made several reliable leaks in the past, had distributed all the specifications sheets of the Redmi 9 series and there were many surprises. This year, there are three models, with the latest addition being the Redmi 9C, accompanied by Redmi 9A and Redmi 9. All product lines have been used for the MediaTek chipset and several key enhancements.

Starting with the Redmi 9A base, this should be Xiaomi’s entry level smartphone for this year. Redmi 9A gets a 6.5 inch IPS LCD screen with 720p resolution. Instead of a Qualcomm chip, Xiaomi uses a MediaTek Helio G25 chipset that comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. This phone will be powered by a 5000mAh battery and will get a USB-C port. For cameras, there will be a single camera setup with a 13 megapixel unit on the back and a 5 megapixel camera on the front.

The next line is Redmi 9C and this is basically the same as Redmi 9A but with important improvements in key areas. The chipset has been upgraded to MediaTek Helio G35 while the storage reaches 64GB. The battery capacity remains the same but the rear camera is different. There is a main 13 megapixel main camera which is accompanied by a 5 megapixel camera and a 2 megapixel camera. This may be a combination of camera width, macro and depth.

Lastly, there is a Redmi 9 which seems to have specifications identical to the Redmi Note 9, only with a few changes. This phone has a 6.5 inch IPS LCD screen which is similar to Full HD + resolution. Instead of Helio G85 on the Redmi Note 9, Redmi 9 uses the Helio G70 chipset, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There is the same 5000mAh battery, USB-C port and more. The quad camera on the back consists of a 13 megapixel main camera along with an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera, a 5 megapixel camera and a 2 megapixel camera.

Confidential information even comes out at a price. Redmi 9A is expected to be launched in Europe at a price of Euro 120 while the Redmi 9C will be launched at a price of 150 Euro. Redmi 9 will carry the price tag of Euro 180. As expected, this will be under the Redmi Note series.
