As Massachusetts prepares for a surge in corona virus cases, trips in and out of the state through Boston Logan Airport plummet.
The number of airport passengers dropped 93% between March 19-23, compared with the same period last year, according to the latest Massport data.
Travel in Boston Logan has continued to decline since late February and early March. First there is a 4.5% in the week ending March 1; finally, Logan saw defeat 76% drop off in the finals of the four weeks recorded.
People seem to heed the advice to stay home and avoid unnecessary trips.
Governor Charlie Baker has asked those who are still traveling to the state to quarantine itself for 14 days.
