MELANIE WINGO IS LIVE WITH THE ADVICE OF A LOCAL DOCTOR TO KEEP YOUR FAMILY SAFE. MELANIE: GOOD MORNING. WE HAVE SEEN A LOT OF CORONAVIRUS DEVELOPMENTS THIS WEEK, ONE OF THEM IS THIS TRAVEL ADVISORY ISSUED BY A FEW STATES TO LIMIT THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS. ON FRIDAY, CALIFORNIA, OREGON AND WASHINGTON ISSUED A JOINT NOTICE CONSIDERING QUARANTINE TRAVELERS FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS ENTRY TO ONE OF THE THREE STATES. THERE ARE EXEMPTIONS FOR THESE TRAVELS FOR ESSENTIAL SERVICES. REASONING, DOCTORS SAY THAT IF PEOPLE COME FROM PLACES WHERE THERE MAY BE HIGH RATES OF POSITIVITY OR HIGH COVID CLUSTERS, THEY POTENTIALLY CAUSE THIS IN AREAS WHERE THE RATES MAY NOT BE EASILY TO EASILY HIGH SPREAD OF THE VIRUS. – ALSO HIGH, SIMPLY FACILITATING THE SPREAD OF THE VIRUS. >> THE IDEA OF QUARANTINATION IS TO DISCOURAGE PEOPLE FROM MOVING BETWEEN STATES. IT MAKES SENSE. IT IS DIFFICULT TO MAKE CONTACT WHEN PEOPLE MOVE GREAT DISTANCES AND COME IN CONTACT WITH A VARIETY OF PEOPLE WHEN MOVING BETWEEN STATES. MELANI IN CALIFORNIA, STATE HEALTH OFFICIALS ARE ENCOURAGING CALIFORNIANS TO STAY AT HOME IF THEY CAN FOR THE COMING HOLIDAY HOLIDAY. AGAIN, AVOID ALL THESE NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVELS TO OTHER STATES WERE OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY. DR.
